Can't stop posting...clowns will eat me

Usually when I eat carbohydrates (whole wheat bread and rice, more specifically), I have a harder time purging them out. Why is this? Is it because these are not complex carbohydrates, such as fruits and vegetables, and digest/are absorbed very easily? I know that whole wheat/multigrain is more complex than white, but I cannot get it out of my system and I don't know what to do or think.
