I have searched for this on the internet, but can't find the information I'm looking for, so I thought I would ask here...
I drink a lot of sugar-free energy drinks every day to boost my metabolism and give me energy. So I am taking in high levels of caffeine (approx. 300mg each day). Obviously, in the short term, this can speed my metabolism up, but what I want to know is:
How will it affect my metabolism in the long term?
Specifically, I am worried that it might damage my metabolism, meaning that without high levels of caffeine, my metabolic rate will be lower in the future (I know that metabolism slows down with age anyway).
