The first psychologist I went to was an ass. He said that he had worked with many eating disorder patients. Then told me that he doesn't mess around, and that I was to stop throwing up, and eat 900 calories from then on. I freaked out, and asked if it could be 700 intead -I had gotten to 600 a day after a few weeks of trying to recover-. He agreed. He then told me that I am anorexic and bulimic. I was upset that he'd say I'm anorexic, because, I was 5'4 and 145. Bulimic, perhaps, ED-NOS most definately. He also told me that once I began eating more normally I would lose weight because my metabolism would get better. I was disgusted and very upset by this comment, however I didn't say anything back. Before I left I asked him what had he diagnosed me as, ED-NOS? And he looked confused, but said something like ahhh... yes. That's what I wrote down. I didn't go back to see him again of course.

I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience, or just had a doctor which was an ass.
