People Pleasing

When I was in the hospital, the leader of a group asked who considered themselves 'people pleasers.' I was the only one who didn't raise my hand. This made me curious.
Do you consider yourself a 'people pleaser,' and, if so, how do you think it contributes to your eating disorder, if at all?

So. Are EDs disorders/diseases, lifestyles, or diets? I'm pretty sure not many people classify EDS as diets, but I get so confused when reading pro-ED communities and websites. The pro-ana communities acknowledge that EDs are, in fact, disorders. That people with these disorders deserve to be helped and treated, and have normal eating habits. Then, they also have "tips" on how to be ana/mia. But that makes no sense. If they do care about these people, why would they be pro-disorder? I've never heard of people being pro-AIDS or pro-bipolar, why pro-ED? That just seems very hypocritical and harmful.

I'm sorry if I sound like an ignorant girl, I don't want to offend anyone. I just want to clear this up.
