Therapy Aproaches

This is the approach my therapy (group therapy) takes:

  1. Behavior (CBT)
This must come first. You can't work on your thoughts or anything else if you are starving.

  2. Cognitions (CBT)
Tools and skills for recognising and dealing with distortions, negative thinking, disordered thinking.

  3. Emotional Regulation Skills (DBT)
An example that I'm working on: I'm under lots of stress at work, the stress is released, I binge. Triggers fall into this category.

  4. Interpersonal Effectiveness Skill (IPT)
    Assertiveness, boundaries, etc.

What approach(es) do your therapists take?
