I'm wondering what other people's experiences have been with getting rid of the scale and with weigh-ins. I've always had a lot of trouble with the scale, weighing myself upwards of 20 times a day, so recently I told my mom to hide the scale somewhere other than the upstairs bathroom. And she listened.

Now though, I'm going crazy. When I have my bad body image days, i can't just weigh myself to check that I haven't gained a massive amount of weight. I've lost my reality check. I want it back so badly, but of course my mom won't put the scale back in the bathroom for fear that I'd continue killing myself with it.

Have you found that it's better to weigh yourself periodically, or to ignore the scale entirely?
