--ED: bulimia...though it feels very weird to just say it in such black&white terms.
--Diagnosed/Self-diagnosed?: self-diagnosed. I think I am bulimic but I'm not sure.
Do you eat more food in a binge than most people would eat in the same amount of time? This is what I'm not sure about-- occassionally my binges will be a lot of food, but for the most part they are what a normal person eats in a meal. I read the discussion about it in the memories/questions section and my binges rarely get to 3000 calories, which I think I read to be the minimum DSM criteria. Like I said, every now and then I binge on a ton of food but in general, I love the feeling of getting everything up and I don't get that feeling when there's so much to throw up.
Do you lose control during the binge episode? Again, sometimes. Usually I know what I'm going to eat and what I'm going to throw up and I rarely stray from that. But I lose control in that I can't stop eating until I've finished what I plan on eating. Also, I guess you could say purging in itself is 'losing control'-- at least from a normal person's point-of-view.
Have you binged and compensated(purge/lax/fast/excessive exercise) at least twice a week, every week, for three months?god yes.
Is your self-worth based on how you look or weigh? Yes, and how my clothing fits me. And feeling empty vs. full.
[5a] Purging type - does your compensation regularly involve vomiting, laxative abuse, diuretics, or enemas? Yes.
[5b] Non-purging type - does your compensation regularly involve excessive exercising or fasting? I do this too.
