I would like to apologise for not posting an application in a timely manner the first time I joined this community. I was busy with finals at university and really had no time to do so.

Part 1

--Age: 18

--Gender: female

--How I found my way here: I honestly don't remember how I found my way here, but I think it was through vegetarian ED community here on LJ.

--Questions/comments/concerns: I have none at this time.

Part 2 (disordered members only)

--ED: Bulimia, ED-NOS

--Diagnosed/Self-diagnosed?: diagnosed and self-diagnosed, respectively

Bulimia:
[1] Do you eat more food in a binge than most people would eat in the same amount of time?
Unfortunately, I do.

[2] Do you lose control during the binge episode?
Yes.

[3] Have you binged and compensated(purge/lax/fast/excessive exercise) at least twice a week, every week, for three months?
Yes.

[4] Is your self-worth based on how you look or weigh?
Of course!

[5a] Purging type - does your compensation regularly involve vomiting, laxative abuse, diuretics, or enemas?
Yes.

[5b] Non-purging type - does your compensation regularly involve excessive exercising or fasting?
Yes.

ED-NOS:

What do you feel is the difference between your attitudes/behaviors and those of someone who has normal insecurities about her body?

I feel more comfortable describing myself as EDNOS than Bulimic since I am on my way to recovery from Bulimia. I do, however, still acknowledge the fact that I am still eating disordered. I have reached a point where I'm not comfortable with my recovery and have reached sort of a dead-lock, so to speak.

Please indicate which eating disorder criteria you DO have (not just "food issues"):

[_] binging (more than ~800 calories per sitting)
[x] restricting (under 900 calories a day)
[x] purging (vomit, laxative, diuretic, enema) after binging
[x] purging (vomit, laxative, diuretic, enema) without binging
[x] excessively exercising after eating
[_] chewing and spitting
[x] obsession with "pure" food
[x] terror of gaining weight
[x] self-worth based on looks or weight
[_] missing period
[_] I answered the question below
