Paper Facade

This is just a poem I wrote, obviously ed-related. I don't know why I felt the urge to share, but here it is. Let me know what you think?

Tear down your paper facade
It won't do you any good
Think about the lies they've told you
Stare down that repulsive image

Get use to the fate that lies ahead
You will never be like those before you
Angels: each one bleeding beauty
Why can't you bleed as well as them?

You wanted it as bad as them all
Yet you just weren't strong enough
Bleed a little more precious angel
You're not quite there yet

Their naked figures curl up
Withering in the pain of deception
The promise of perfection is broken
They gave away more than they had

The need to control ruled them all
The storm is over and you lay forlorn
You're alive—what’d you do wrong?
Perfection has never felt father away
