So I was reading this book about the Japanese diet. I don't know the name of the book, it was my friend's mum's and I forgot to look. Basically it was just saying the the Japanese diet, rich in seafood, soya sauce, green tea, rice and asian and sea vegetables, was really good. The book said stuff about longevity and health and stuff but also a lot on weight loss from the diet.

So I was thinking of trying it out. Like just eating japanese soups (miso etc) and rice with soy sauce, and maybe a bit of sushi too. I was planning on going on a liquid only restriction next week so I was thinking of starting out with just the soups for a bit and then including the rice, vegetables and seafood.

I was wondering if any of you had tried this sort of thing? Does anyone have any extra information on this?
