I am going [back] to inpatient treatment tomorrow, and, so, I have been thinking about this quite a bit.
Do you believe that, with the right information and motivation, it is really possible to recover on your own, or is intensive treatment [ie inpatient or intensive outpatient with a multidisciplinary treatment team] a necessity for recovery?
Before my bed opened up for this IP program, which is a short, 'not intended to fix you but meant to get you ready for a program that will fix you' program, my therapist told me that it was pretty much impossible to recover without an intensive program. I am not so sure about this, but I do wonder if it is possible to make a complete recovery without interdisciplinary (nutritional, medical, psychological) support.
