are the health risks any different for self-induced vomiting and "free hand" vomiting?
i know any amount of vomiting is not good, but when you stick your fingers or an object down your throat and force the gag reflex, you in turn force the stomach to empty. which, again-in-turn, disrupts the esophagus, forces the sphincter connecting the esophagus and stomach to open, and so on and so forth.
but when you simply bend forwards and sort of just let it come up, it seems so much less.. well.. violent? in a way. because the stomach appears to empty like a flask of water.
thoughts? discussion? facts on the topic? i apologize if this has been discussed.
