A couple days ago, I was sitting at the cafeteria watching a friend Facebook stalk our guy friend's girlfriend. She clicked on a picture of her in a bikini and goes "OH MY GOD SHE'S LIKE ANOREXIC!"

The sad thing is, she meant it as a compliment. After her outburst I immediately gave her a look and said "What the fuck?" "No no it's a good thing! She's so skinny!"

Has anybody experienced someone else throwing around ED terms, using them for their connotations instead of their denotations? Such as in my example, describing someone to be anorexic just because a slender body type?

Edit: My comeback to these kinds of statements is "Anorexia is a behavior, not a frame."
